In this double DVD lesson Ernie Hawkins presents some of Rev. Davis’s most requested rags and minstrel tunes. These vary from Sally Where’d You Get Your Liquor From (made popular by Jorma Kaukonen and Hot Tuna) to the complex dance rhythms of Buck Dance and Twelve Sticks to Devil’s Dream, an instrumental played in the Key of F. Contemporary Guitar Workshop
Dave Evans, Duck Baker, Jim McLennan, Leo Wijnkamp Jr.
This project attempts to present many different forms of music, i.e. classic rags, fiddle tunes, original compositions and old pop standards. His sounds can be found on classic albums by Ray Charles, The Drifters, Big Joe Turner, Memphis Slim and of course his duo Mickey and Sylvia. . . .

Welcome!
We offer a wide variety of DVD lessons focusing on various aspects of fingerstyle guitar styles and techniques. Our roster of teachers reads like a "Who's Who" of the guitar world.
Our DVD lessons present the finest in clear and incisive visual education. Each tune is performed in full and then explained. This is followed by the piece being played slowly on a split screen, allowing the student to see both the right and left hand movements. Everything played during the split screen segments is transcribed and presented in a free tab/music booklet that accompanies each video lesson.
We hope you'll also check out our line of historic and concert DVDs featuring terrific guitar performances, including rare vintage footage of guitar masters of the past, as well as concerts by contemporary greats!
